Luis Casiano Burgos

Luis Casiano Burgos, 73, of Lake Wales, FL, passed away on November 14, 2023. Born on October 18, 1950, in Coamo, Puerto Rico, Luis was the son of Teodosio Casiano and Francisca Burgos. In 2006, Luis made Florida his home after relocating from Boston, MA. A self-employed individual, who dedicated his time to helping others buy and sell cars, a reflection of his true passion. He held a strong connection to his Catholic faith throughout his life, which was his guide during his most difficult times. Luis found joy in playing poker with his sons and grandchildren, his compassionate nature extended to his love for animals, often enjoying the simple pleasure of feeding them. His culinary skills shined when he cooked his famous rotisserie chicken for those he cared about. Known for his lighthearted spirit, Luis was a perpetual jokester who never failed to bring smiles to the faces of those around him. His infectious happiness was a testament to a life well-lived, marked by love, laughter, and a genuine appreciation for the simple things. He is preceded in death by his parents. Luis leaves behind to cherish his memory, his eight children, Marisol Santiago, Luis Alvarado, Carlos Alvarado, José Alvarado and wife, Maylin Alvarado, Angel Alvarado, Maritza Alvarado and husband, Jason Mercado, Miguel Alvarado and Migdalia Alvarado; six siblings, Raul Casiano, Hector Casiano, Carlos Casiano, Nelson Casiano, Modesto Casiano, and Santana Casiano; seventeen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Haines City, FL.
