Virginia Elisa Hackett, 87, of Waverly, FL passed away on February 27, 2014 at her residence. She was born on February 13, 1927 in Hollywood, FL and moved to the area some 35 years ago. Virginia was a retired letter carrier with the US Postal Service and of the Lutheran faith, in her free time she truly loved to fish. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert C. Hackett and her sons, Ronald C. Hackett and Richard L. Hackett. Virginia is survived by her sons, Max R. Hackett of Cocoa Beach, FL, Robert G. Hackett of Watertown, SD; daughter, Katie Steelman of Waverly, FL; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Friday, March 7, 2014 at 7:00 pm at New Life Assembly of God in Wahneta, Florida with Reverend James Farrer officiating..
