Anne G. Petro, 91, of Winter Haven, FL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 7, 2026 under the care of Good Shepherd Home Hospice.

Born June 22, 1934 in Lapeer, Michigan to Lloyd and Margaretta Johanna “Grace” (Beyer) McGlashen, Anne moved to Winter Haven in 1987 from Grand Blanc, MI with her husband Bob after his retirement from General Motors. She worked in various clerical positions within the education, insurance, and real estate industries in Michigan and Florida. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven, involved in maintaining their library as well as served in the Calvary Caring Cards Ministry.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband in 2018 after 62 years of marriage and her grandson, Steven, in 2024. One of ten children, Anne was also preceded in death by one sister, (Vera) and six brothers, (Victor, Myles, Bill, Ted, Dean and Jack).

She is survived by four daughters, Beth Roybal of Aromas, CA, Gayle Skowronski and her husband Frank of Muncie, IN, Robin Murphy and her husband John of Winter Haven, and Jayne Kennon and her husband Mike of Winter Haven; two brothers, Daryl McGlashen of Brenham, TX and Bob McGlashen (Betty) of Brooksville, FL; five grandchildren, Julia (Dan), Sarah (Gerardo), Mariah, Robbie (fiancée Arantxa Mubarak), and Gideon (Ava); and five great-grandchildren, Adele, Mateo, Kolbe, Agnes and Scarlet Rose.

A private family graveside service will occur at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Anne’s daughters would like to extend their appreciation for the amazing care and compassion received and shown toward their Mom from Good Shepherd Hospice.
