Marilyn Pearce

Marilyn Louise Pearce, born January 19, 1932, passed away peacefully on June 20th, 2026, in Winter Haven Fl. Her long life, spanning ninety-four years, as a tapestry woven with warmth, devotion and a quiet but steadfast love she showed to all who had the privilege to know her.

Marilyn's journey began as the cherished daughter of Stanley and Ruth Wilson in Ocean City N.J. Those childhood memories she always carried close to her heart, instilling her appreciation for life's simple joys and the enduring strength of family which she valued and displayed throughout each chapter in her life.

Her greatest loves were first and foremost our lord, Jesus Christ, her beloved husband, James and of course her beautiful three boys, Tim, Randy and Brian, whom she adored.

Those positive presences were what instilled in her the unconditional love that endured over their 72 Years of marriage. Together they found strength and comfort in the legacy they built that will stand the ages of time through their families’ love for each other. This love and bond was a testament of loves resilience, a guiding force that shaped the very core of Marilyn Pearce.

Marilyn adored children. Her greatest passion was teaching those little sweet 4-year-olds!

Her 26 years of service earned the honor of having St. Paul’s renaming The Early childhood center " the "Pearce Early Childhood Center" representing a teacher that gave her everything to loving and nurturing so many children that now as adults speak about her still with love and admiration.

Marilyn loved serving the lord and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for over 70 years. She devoted her time to the Alter Guild, The "Daughters of the King" and the church Vestry. Her love for the Church was exuded in every opportunity she had available.

She was a member of the La Sertoma Club for over 20 years, serving as president twice, advocating for the Hearing-Impaired Children. She also volunteered at the Winter Haven Hospital as a "Pink Lady" for 15 years, helping new mothers adjust to bringing new life into this world.

She loved playing cards (always letting the grandchildren win!) golfing, bowling and square dancing in the day with her many friends and family as well.

Marilyn is proceeded in death by her husband, James; her parents, Stanley and Ruth Wilson; sister, June Searcy; two brothers, Art and Larry Wilson.

She is survived by her devoted sons, Tim (Lori), Randy (Kim) and Brian (Lisa) Pearce; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Her support, encouragement and unconditional love constantly in the lives of her children, creating a close-knit family grounded in compassion and mutual respect. She celebrated every triumph with joy and provided solace and wisdom during challenging times. Marilyn's spirit of grace and kindness was reflected in everything she nurtured, leaving those she loved fond memories that will forever be cherished.

A memorial service in loving remembrance of Marilyn Pearce will be held at 10:00 am July 24th at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 656 Ave. L N.W. WH, FL 33881. Family, friends and all that held Marilyn dear are invited to gather in tribute to a wonderful woman, to celebrate a life well lived and to find comfort in the shared memories of her enduring spirit.
