Guadalupe "Lupe" Gomez Harrell
Lupe, beloved wife and best friend of Jay Dee for over forty-seven years, passed away on January 29, 2019 at the age of 80 years. Besides her loving husband Jay Dee, Lupe is survived by her children: George, Elizabeth (Tully), Lydia, Cynthia (Phillip), Julio, Belinda (Scott), Melissa (Arturo) and Roderick (Maria), her grandchildren; Genevieve, George Jr., Robert, Michael, Christopher, Bridgette, Lorenzo, Angel, Skye, Vanessa, Phillip Jr., Joseph, Vincent, Todd, Destini, Sarah, Elijah, Alexandria, Rene, Jayden and Kaitlyn and sixteen great-grandchildren. Lupe is also survived by her brother Ramon who resides in Ontario, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents, Brigida and Rodrigo, and siblings; Adolph, Robert, Arnold, Carmen, Antonia and Consuela.
Lupe was born and raised in Chino, CA and resided in Southern CA before relocating to Tucson, Arizona with husband Jay Dee. She enjoyed socializing and was a member of Post 41 American Legion in San Bernardino, CA along with her husband Jay. Lupe was a homemaker for many years and was also employed for ten years by Greenfields County Day School in Tucson as a Janitorial Supervisor.
Lupe loved being outdoors, she also enjoyed dancing, entertaining, gardening, and working on DIY projects around the house with Jay Dee. She enjoyed working alongside her husband on a few of his house painting projects. She wasn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty or of hard work. She radiated strength and determination and had a great sense of humor. Her wit, spunk, laughter and smile will be greatly missed. We love you.
