Emily Jean Brincefield

Emily Jean Brincefield, 94 of Greensboro, NC went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 16, 2025.

She was born in Guilford County, North Carolina on June 5, 1931, to the late Marion S. Brincefield and Ivah Wolfe Brincefield. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Brincefield Teer, and her niece, Cathy Teer Matamoros. She graduated from Greensboro High School and Guilford College. After graduating from college, she began working with the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta, GA where she retired after 30 years of service. She was a faithful member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her nephews, Michael H. Teer (wife, Karen) and Mark E. Teer (wife, Lenore). She also leaves behind great-nieces, Erika Teer Russell, Lauren Teer, Spencer Teer, Macy Teer, and Lauren Redding; great-nephews, Jason Teer, Jeremy Teer, Evan Teer, Ryne Redding, Will Redding, and Ben Redding. Additionally, she had three great-great-nieces and one great-great-nephew.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Friends Home and AuthoraCare who cared for Jean and her family in her final days.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Friends Home Guilford in the Woolman Living Room at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
