Jacqueline L. (Jackie) Wheeler, 87, died in Hampstead, NC on December 3, 2012. Jackie was born May 9, 1925 in Guilford County to Floyd Angus and Anna Lou Thelma Newman Leach.
There will be a memorial service 2:00 pm, December 9, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, with Pastor John Jarman, of Rankin Baptist Church officiating. Jackie's inurnment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park immediately after the service.
Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond B Wheeler;
2 brothers, Bunk Leach; Sam Leach; a sister, June Johnson; and a grandson, Mark Wheeler. She is survived by a son, Ray Wheeler (Cary) of Raleigh; a daughter, Dawn Rosson (John) of Suf City, N.C.; a brother, Jerry Leach (Susan) of Oldton, Fla.;
5 grandchildren, Jeff Rosson of Brown Summit, Angela Cable of Mcleansville, Kim Barham of Asheboro, Sydney Maughan of California, Brad Wheeler of Raleigh and 7 great-grandchildren.
Jackie was a member of Rankin Baptist Church. She loved traveling and she was employed by Holiday Tours, of Randleman for 26 years.
A special thanks to the staff at North Pointe Assisted Living, Asheboro, N.C., and the staff at Woodbury Wellness, Hampstead, N.C.
The family will be receiving friends at the home of Jeff Rosson in Brown Summit.
