Margaret Ann Adkins, 71, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday January 28, 2020.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Friday January 31, 2020 at Gospel Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Luttrell officiating. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church-Getsemane Cemetery.
A native of Guilford County, NC, Margaret was the wife of 53 years to William Donald Adkins and the daughter of the late, William Albert Shular, Sr. and Margaret Patterson Shular. She was a Bus Driver for over 26 years with the Guilford County School System. Margaret’s greatest love was her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was happiest when she was outside, enjoying the sun, her flowers, and especially mowing the lawn on her John Deer Tractor. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; daughters, Sherrie Watson and husband, Allen, and Mary Witherspoon and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Joshua Watson and fiancé, Abbie Hedrick, and Kayla Watson; sisters, Mary Gregory of Greensboro, Marie Howard of Greensboro, Bernice Johnson of Greensboro, Norma Pratt of Greensboro, Betty Webster of Browns Summit, and Dora Oliver of Gibsonville, brother, William Shular, Jr. of Colfax; and half-sister, Kathleen Brown of Charlotte
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Doris Walker of Winston-Salem, and Faye Holland of Walkertown; brother Curtis Shular of Orange, VA; and half-sisters, Frances Oldham, Dorothy Mayberry, and Edna Tripplet, all of Greensboro.
The family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday January 30, 2020 at Gospel Baptist Church.
