Benjamin Taylor Williams, 97, went home to be with his Lord March 19, 2021.
Graveside Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 1:00PM Tuesday March 23, 2021 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Pastor Frank Shumate officiating.
A native of Rockingham County, Ben was the son of the late Fanny Fretwell Williams and James Keen Williams. In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Elizabeth Gallimore Williams; siblings, Mary Williams, Jesse Williams, Francis Williams and Fred Williams.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Judy Berrier and Clarence; grandchildren, Greg Berrier and Sharon, Kent Berrier and Jennifer, and Kellie Neal; great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Brianna, and Sarah; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Ben was a 1941 graduate of Wentworth High School. He was retired from McLean Trucking Company where he was a “Million Miler”. He was a longtime member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church.
