Betty "Betty Lou" S. Webster, 87, of Browns Summit passed away on July 19, 2026 under the care of Beacon Place Hospice Home in Greensboro. Born in Guilford County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Patterson) Shular and wife of the late Brooks Lanier Webster.
Betty Lou was an avid flower gardener in her free time. She also loved Carolina basketball and her "Mr. B".
Betty Lou is survived by her daughter, Sharon Botts and husband, Stan Botts; her grandchild, Lanier (Mr. B) Botts; and her siblings, Mary Gregory of Browns Summit, Marie Howard and Norma G. Pratt of Greensboro, William "Junior" Shular of Colfax.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Walker, Dora Jean Oliver, Margaret Adkins, Bernice Johnson, Faye Holland, and Curtis Shular; her half-siblings, Dot Mayberry, Frances Oldham, Edna Triplett, and Kathleen Brown.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel, 300 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27401 on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Funeral services will follow beginning at 11:00AM with Pastor Sam White officiating. Interment will follow the service at Westminster Gardens, 3601 Whitehurst Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410.
