Crescenza Butafucco “Chris” Vessa, 94, of Stokesdale, NC passed away Monday August 10, 2020. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 12:00PM Thursday August 13, 2020 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends with a walk-through visitation from 11:00AM to 12:00PM Thursday at the funeral home. A native of Astoria, NY, Chris was the wife of the late Peter Joseph Vessa, Sr. and the daughter of the late Joseph Butafucco and Rose Loffredo Butafucco. Survivors include her sons, Peter Joseph Vessa, Jr. and Louis Robert Vessa and Kim Williams; grandchildren, Kevin Calkins and wife, Lindsay, Christina Vessa Stewart and husband, Kenny, and Kyle Vessa; great grandchildren, Dylan Calkins, Brylee Stewart, Madeline Calkins, and Drew Stewart; former daughter-in-law and longtime friend, Joanne Walsh; and several nieces and nephews.
