David Eugene Idol, 79, passed away August 21, 2020.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be held 1:00PM Saturday August 29, 2020 at The Bridge. Military Honors will be bestowed as part of the service.
A native of Forsyth County, David was born to the late Ivey Irene Idol Beard. He served his country with the United States Army. He was retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company after thirty-plus years.
David was an avid Ballroom Dancer and competed in numerous dance competitions over the years. He was an artist, and many of his paintings are displayed throughout the Triad.
Survivors include his son, Steven B. Idol and Elizabeth of High Point; grandsons, Jacob Idol of Winston-Salem and Matthew Idol of High Point; granddaughter, Stephanie Handberry and Trevor of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great-grandchildren, London, “Little” Trevor, and Olivia; sister, Jeanne Johnson and Ronald; brothers, Bill Beard and Sandy, and J.M. “John” Beard; and numerous extended family and friends.
