Diana Jean Welch Jones

Diana Jean Welch Jones, 75, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully Monday, December 5, 2022. A native of Logan County, WV, Diana was the wife of the late Alton Jones and the daughter of Fletcher Welch and Anna Hager Welch, both deceased. Survivors include her three children, Tanya Perea and husband, Alberto Perea of Winston-Salem, NC, Michael Jones and wife, Candice Jones of Kernersville, NC, and Stacy Ninh and husband, Yen Ninh of Stokesdale, NC; grandchildren, Alisha Perea, Chad Ninh and wife, Sydney Ninh, Alberto Perea, Jr., Ryan Ninh, Caylie Jones, Lake Jones; great grandson, Knox Ninh; sister, Peggy Ellis and Husband, Bob Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Diana was preceded in death by her son, Tony Welch; sisters, Lenora Clark, Judy Musser, and Frankie Cook; and brothers, Fred Tackett, and Charles Welch. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 11:00AM Friday, December 9, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
