Dorothy Mcgee

Dorothy McGee, lovingly known as Granny, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 5, 2020, at the age of 91. Mrs. McGee was born on August 12, 1929, to the late Ollie and David Martin. She was an accountant, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother to all who knew and loved her. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Thomas McGee; children, Elizabeth S. Hilliard with fiancé Howard Shoe and Winfred Leo Snow Jr; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and brother, Gary Martin Sr. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Winfred Leo Snow Sr; two sons, Roger and David Snow; brothers, Charles and Clarence Martin; and sister Marie Martin Mabe. Due to COVID restrictions, a private service will be held for the family at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be open to family and friends on Thursday, September 10th at 1:00 pm at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery. She will be laid to rest in the Garden of Peace. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
