Ethel Mae Lassiter, 85 of Thomasville passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.
Miss Lassiter was born on July 27, 1936 in Davidson County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Bascom E. and Elizabeth Ogburn Lassiter. In addition to her parents, Ethel Mae is preceded in death by her brother Bascom Edward “Eddie” Lassiter.
Survivors include her nephew, Chuck Lassiter and wife, Karen of Newport, NC; niece, Lisa Lassiter Beeson and husband, Mark of Greensboro, NC; sister-In-Law, Meredith Lassiter; and two great nephews, Stephen Lassiter and Jake Lassiter.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She spent several years working in the furniture industry and retired as a Daycare assistant at Baptist Children’s Home in Thomasville.
The family has chosen to have a private service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to Baptist Children’s Home of North Carolina, 204 Idol Street, Thomasville, NC 27360.
