Gabriel Lee "Gabe" Adams
June 13, 2006 — March 10, 2023
Gabriel Lee Adams (Gabe), passed from this life at the young age of 16 years old unexpectedly in an automobile accident on Friday, March 10, 2023. Gabe, a native of Forsyth County, lived with his parents and sister in Winston-Salem, NC.
Gabe had a goofy sense of humor, and a loving and caring heart. On many Saturdays he and his father enjoyed eating lunch at The Loop in Kernersville, going to Lowe’s to get things for work around the house, and then coming home and accomplishing absolutely nothing. It was always about getting that time together, with chores being the excuse to run off and spend the day just goofing off. He loved his mother extremely well and freely gave the best hugs.
Gabe was an incredibly gifted entrepreneur who, at the age of 13, bought a gumball machine and placed it in a local restaurant. Over the next three years he learned the ins-and-out of the vending business and had over 10 locations across Forsyth County selling gum and candy. He was only two months away from purchasing his first claw machine to place at a location he’d secured when he passed away. His father plans to keep the route going and see Gabe’s vision of placing that first claw machine come to fruition.
Gabe also had a keen eye for buying rare or valuable items at discount stores or yard sales and selling them online for a profit. One of Gabe’s goals was to grow his business skills and own his own company. He was also an avid online gamer and loved to collect rare sets of Pokemon Cards.
Gabe was a light to his friends, whom he loved dearly and who in turned loved him dearly. They spent time hanging out at school, chatting online, and playing online games. You could often hear him burst into laughter from his room at something that his friends had texted. His laugh was as contagious as his smile.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving parents, Lee and Gail Goforth Adams, sister, Haley Adams, and grandparents George and Joyce Goforth and Guy and Jeane Adams. He also has many loving relatives and cousins, who will always remember the impact he had on their lives.
Family visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18th from 2 pm to 3 pm, with a Celebration of Life service at 3 pm. A light reception will be held for Gabe’s family and friends after the service where Gabe’s favorite pizza, Papa John’s, will be served along with gumballs.
“Then Jesus wept. The people who were standing nearby said, “See how much he loved him!””
John 11:35-36 NLT
