Kernersville-Jonathan Charles “Jon” Finn, 43, passed away Sunday April 28, 2013. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Sunday May 5, 2013 at Main Street United Methodist Church with Pastor Dr. Jeff Patterson, Rev. Rick Carter, and Rev. Dale Hilton officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Jon was born July 23, 1969, in Winston-Salem, to Ed and Pauline Finn who survive. He spent his early years in Roanoke, Virginia before moving with his family to Kernersville, North Carolina in 1980. He graduated from East Forsyth High School, and later the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he has been employed since his graduation. He was the Director of Facilities and Operations at the Belk College of Business. Survivors include his daughter Julia Bethan Finn(who was the light of his life) and her mother Dawn Crenshaw Finn both of Charlotte; parents Ed and Pauline Finn of Kernersville; sister Katherine Finn Davis and her husband Lee of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; special friends who were always there for him Rick Zuber and Moutaz Khouja both of Charlotte; and numerous extended family in North Carolina, Virginia, and Ohio. The body will lie in state from 1:00PM Sunday until time for the funeral at the church. The family will visit with friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service on Sunday.
