Leslie Sherstin "Sherry" Williams

Sherry Gregory Williams, 56, of Kernersville completed her journey through this life on April 18, 2020. Sherry was born to the late Robert “Bobby” Gregory and Mary Tillman Koos. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kent Williams; step-mother, Retha Wise; sister, Gena Gregory; and cousin, Nicholas Thornton. Sherry is survived by her daughter, Daryl Williams; son, Evan Casey; Evan's father, Tom Casey; brother, Bobby Gregory; sister, Shannon Christley; niece, Katie Christley; aunt, Betty Tillman; uncle, Terry Gregory; aunt, Marty Gregory; and many beloved cousins, as well as numerous friends. Sherry found a passion for hair at a very young age and after high school went on to graduate from Ego Hour Cosmetology School. She was creative and loved her work and lived with love as a gregarious human that knew well how to have fun. Her infectious energy often left those around her in similar spirits. Anyone that spent any length of time with Sherry knows that you couldn't say anything around her without her turning those very words into a song (inspiring her nickname, "Sherryoke"). Sherry spent many years living in Garden City Beach, SC and Tennessee before returning to Kernersville, NC. When you think of Sherry, be sure to play a Fleetwood Mac song and smile.
