Maria Milagros Colon Serrano

Maria Milagros Colon Serrano, 74, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 11, 2021. A native of Utuado, Puerto Rico, Maria was the wife of 54 years to Justiano Rodriguez “Justin” Serrano, Sr. and the daughter of the late Jose Angel Colon and Maria Colon. Maria was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave more than she received. Maria accomplished her goals in nursing and singing, where she also made a CD of her musical talents. She was a great help in her husband’s ministry. Maria served her community in Lexington, KY through “Kids Café”. Survivors include her husband, Justin; sons, Justin Serrano, Jr. and wife, Alicia, Paul Serrano and wife, Raquel; daughters, Sarah Chwialkowski and husband, Shannon, and Maria Carmen Serrano; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Kamran, Alexander, Shane, Elena, Soriah, Amirah, George, Maricruz, and Miguel; and great grandson, Oliver. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 6:00PM Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel.
