Marvin Wayne Stack, 81, of Greensboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023. A native of Guilford County, NC, Wayne was the husband of 54 years to Brenda Scarlette Stack and the son of Marvin Craig Stack and Annie Mae Fulk Stack, both deceased. Wayne served as a Military Police in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a disabled veteran. He enjoyed his work and always had a joke for his customers and friends. Wayne worked as an outside floor covering salesman for more than 30 years. After retiring, Wayne worked at Home Depot in Greensboro for more than 15 years. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his sons. Wayne was an avid NASCAR fan, he loved the Atlanta Braves, and in later years enjoyed pulling for the Kansas City Chiefs. He loved the Lord and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; two sons, William Craig Stack and wife, Donya, and Kenneth Wayne Stack; four grandchildren, Connor Stack, Cailyn Stack and fiancé, Kyle Adams, Alaina Stack, and Noah Stack; brother, Donald Stack of Yuma, AZ; two sisters, Peggy Hartman of Kernersville, NC, and Catherine Hill of Greensboro, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, David Lee Stack, and Douglas Glenn Stack; and sister, Imogene Copeland. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held 1:00PM Monday, January 23, 2023 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Tim Pheagin officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 12:00PM to 1:00PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
