Mary Elizabeth Nelson Brown

Mary Elizabeth Nelson Brown, 86, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2022. A native of Kernersville, NC, Mary was the daughter of James Robert Nelson and Nora Echols Nelson, both deceased. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Cromer Atkins of Kernersville, NC; and her brother, Chuck Nelson of Kernersville, NC. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Nelson, Jackie Nelson, and Terry Nelson; and sister, Rosa Lee Matthews. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 2:00PM Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
