Michelle Smith “Mickie” Pettus, 43, of Winton-Salem, NC passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Graveside Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Winston-Salem, NC. The family will greet friends with a walk-through visitation from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel. A native of Charleston, SC, Mickie was the wife of Brian Pettus and the daughter of Renee Smith Brabham and husband, Donald Richard Brabham, and the late Darnell Smith. She was the owner/operator of The Hemp Hut in Kernersville, NC. Mickie had an unconditional love for her family and friends where she touched many lives and will be missed by all that knew her. She had a passion for helping others, which led her to open her business, The Hemp Hut. Mickie enjoyed her vacations with family and gallivanting around and continually taking pictures of all of her surroundings, especially food. Survivors include her husband, Brian of the home; daughters, Abigail Wiles, Alana Ferrell, Reese Pettus; son, Jordan Pettus; granddaughter, Tinley Lynn Williams; mother, Renee Smith Brabham and husband, Donald; sisters, Heaven Priester, and Terri Patterson; and brothers, Shannon Richard Brabham, and Mitchell Allen Brabham.
