Robert (Bob) L. Tobin Sr., 68, of Kernersville, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born February 15, 1953, in Queens, New York, Bob was the son of the late Edward Tobin and the late Dorothy Carlisle Tobin.
Bob was fascinated with cars from a young age, and at the age of fourteen he started his career in the automotive industry by pumping gas at his local service station. From that point on Bob spent the remainder of his career in the automotive industry working his way up through the ranks of mechanic, service advisor, and service manager. In his spare time, he enjoyed fixing up old cars, and spending time on the golf course. He married the love of his life Linda Hallihan Tobin, on April 10, 1973.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Tobin of the home; daughter, Disa Pabon of Winston-Salem; son, Bobby Tobin (Deborah) of Texas; brother, Larry Tobin (Brandi) of Texas.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes there will be no services held at this time.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Bob’s memory may be directed to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or Forsyth County Senior Services, 2895 Shorefair Drive, Winton-Salem, NC 27105.
Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation Services Kernersville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
