Roger Jones

Roger Jones, 72, of Kernersville passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and was raised in Opelika, Alabama. He was the son of the late Leonard and Virgie (Matheny) Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings. A graduate of Auburn University, he began his career in finance and retired from Varco Pruden Buildings as a senior financial service manager. His favorite past time was spending time with his wife, family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make his friends and family laugh. He enjoyed Martial Arts and helping people; Roger had a heart of servitude. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Marsha Jones, daughters, Charie Jones, Jennifer McMillian and beloved granddaughter Alyssa M. Crow, sister, Linda Lee, cherished niece, Juanita Franklin and her husband Jeff and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Kernersville Chapel on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 5:00pm -7:00pm. Funeral services will be at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Kernersville Chapel on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 1:00pm with Rev. Josh Tuft, officiating. Interment will be at Mt.
