Samson Vincent Smith

Samson Vincent Smith, 18, of Winston Salem passed away on March 29, 2026, under the care of Wake Forest Baptist Hospital surrounded by family. He was born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was the son of Robby Vincent Smith and Michelle Dawn Gough Smith.

Samson is survived by his loving parents, Robby Vincent Smith and Michelle Dawn Smith; his siblings, Victoria Dawn Smith, Dylan Vincent Smith, Veronica Dawn Smith, Faith Dawn Smith, Hope Dawn Smith, Charity Dawn Smith, Noah Vincent Smith, and Anna Dawn Smith; his grandfather, James (Jim) Vincent Smith; his grandmother, Penny Reece; his aunt, Crystal Ann Gough Bennett; his cousins, Tyler, Logan, and Michael; his aunts, Lexi and Hannah; and his uncle, Hayden Smith; along with many other loving family members.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Timothy Mark Gough, Cathy Dawn Hayes Cardwell; and his great-grandmother, Bazie Smith.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville, NC 27284, on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. Graveside funeral services will follow beginning at 4:00 pm at the Family Cemetery (1245 Bob Mabe Rd., Danbury, NC 27016) with Pastor Phil Hulen officiating.
