Shirley Ziglar Redmon, 83, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Sunday, June 20, 2021.
A native of Forsyth County, NC, Shirley was the wife of the late David Wesley Redmon and the daughter of the late Thomas William “T.W.” Ziglar and Cora Lee Overcash Ziglar. Shirley loved her family and was strong in her faith through her Lord in which she was comforted until the end. She was an avid Braves Fan and was looking forward to Sunday’s game, where she ended up with the “Best seat in the house!”
Survivors include her sons, Darryl Wesley Redmon and wife, Joyce of Kernersville, NC; and Mark Douglas Redmon of Kernersville, NC; three grandchildren, Dustin Wesley Redmon, Joshua Seth Redmon, and Stephanie Renee Redmon; four great grandsons, Dillinger Wesley Redmon, Asher Townes Redmon, Louis Porter Redmon, and John David Spencer Redmon; and special niece, Tonya West Payne.
In addition to her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her siblings.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Dean Tsiolkas officiating. A private interment will be at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 129 Veterans Drive, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041.
