Itsuo "Ike" Tokuda
Jun 11, 1941 — Jul 1, 2026
In Loving Memory of Itsuo “Ike” Tokuda, June 11, 1941 – July 1, 2026
Itsuo “Ike” Tokuda, age 85, passed away on July 1, 2026.
Itsuo was born on June 11, 1941, and lived a life marked by determination, creativity, intelligence, hard work, and love for his family.
He is survived by his two children, Itsuko Cobb and her husband, Paul Belbusti, and Hideyuki Tokuda and his wife, Maggie Pinto; and his three grandchildren, Anthony Belbusti, Takashi Cobb, and Ryuki Tokuda.
Itsuo’s life was filled with remarkable accomplishments. One of his proudest achievements was his restaurant—one of his first great successes in America and a lasting symbol of his determination, courage, and hard work. The restaurant will forever remain one of his family’s most treasured memories.
Throughout his life, Itsuo never stopped thinking, creating, and inventing. Despite the many struggles and challenges that came with bringing an invention to life, he persevered and earned a patent—an extraordinary achievement and a testament to his profound intelligence, creativity, and determination.
Itsuo was a man of many gifts. He was an incredible cook, a talented artist, a brilliant thinker, an inventor, and a beautiful singer. Those gifts—and the lessons he shared through them—have become part of the family he leaves behind. Everything he taught us will continue to live on through us and will be treasured for generations.
Dad is in God’s hands now. He is finally free from pain, and he is no longer lonely. We imagine his family and friends in Heaven welcoming him with open arms, and that thought brings us comfort.
We will miss him more than words can ever express. We know he carried loneliness for a long time, but we hope he knew that he was never truly alone. We are forever grateful for every sacrifice he made and for how hard he worked to give his family the best life he could.
Our greatest hope is that we made him proud, that we cared for him the way he deserved, and that we honored him with every decision we made. We hope he knew how deeply he was loved and how profoundly his life touched ours.
Rest peacefully, Dad. Until we meet again.
In Loving Memory of Itsuo “Ike” Tokuda. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever part of us.
