Matthew Aaron Gardner

Matthew Aaron Gardner “Matt”, of Broomfield, Colorado, went home to be with his Savior in Heaven on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the age of 47.

Matt was born in Tacoma, Washington on June 6, 1977, to James “Jim” and Susan “Sue” Gardner. Matt was the middle of eight siblings: April, Jill, Rodney, Alex, Jason, Kaleigha, and Helen.

Matt was married to Lauren Dyer on, December 12, 2020.

Matt attended college and received a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, from there he went on to receive a master’s degree in criminal justice. Matt served in the Airforce as a linguist before becoming a federal agent with the Office of the Inspector General. Matt attained the position of Assistant Special Agent in Charge and has proudly served his country for over 20 years.

Matt loved to build, construct, or repair anything he could get his hands on. He took no greater joy than in coaching and watching his son, Andrew, play football. He loved encouraging and watching his daughter, Faith, blossom into the very beautiful and successful young lady she has become. Matt was a man with an unshakeable faith in God.

Matt is survived by his spouse, Lauren Gardner, and his daughter, Faith Breaux along with her husband Ethan Breaux, and Matt’s son, Andrew Gardner. He is survived by his parents Jim and Sue Gardner, and his sister Jill Waldroop and husband Kelly Waldroop and their children Madesyn and Jacob, as well as his brother Alex, brother Jason, sister Kaleigha, and sister Helen.

Matt has joined his older sister, April, and his younger brother, Rodney, in Heaven.
