Patricia Anne Keip

Aug 16, 1938 — Jun 18, 2026

Patricia Anne Bradley Keip, age 87, of Parker, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in Parker.

Pat was born on August 16, 1938, in Liverpool, England, to Horace and Ethel (Millward) Bradley. She and her older sister, Mavis, grew up during World War II, an experience that profoundly shaped her life. After graduating from secretarial training, she worked in the shipping insurance industry in Liverpool.

At age 21, she emigrated to the United States by working as a nanny for families on the East Coast. After her six-month commitment, she made her way west—spending time with her sister and family in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, before accepting a position with an insurance broker in Los Angeles, where she shared an apartment with two other young women.

She met the love of her life, Orville James "Jim" Keip, on a blind date at a bowling alley, and they were married on August 24, 1963. Their honeymoon consisted of relocating to Denver, Colorado, where Jim had been assigned to work at Stapleton Airport for United Airlines. They initially lived in Aurora, Colorado, where their two daughters were born. In 1971, they built a home on land they had purchased in Parker, Colorado, where they lived for the remainder of their lives together.

Pat loved being involved in her daughters' schools and activities, as evidenced by her volunteer work with the PTA, serving as a recreation soccer coach, and supporting both high school marching band booster clubs. While her daughters were in high school, Pat returned to work as a secretary for the Air Line Pilots Association. She retired from ALPA after 14 years of dedicated service.

Pat was a devoted Episcopalian and was instrumental in the growth of St. Martin's in the Fields Episcopal Church in Aurora, helping guide the congregation from its mission stage through the completion of its church building. She served on the Bishop's Committee, representing the church within the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado. In later years, she became a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Parker, where she was a beloved member of the congregation. She was active in the "Prayers and Squares" quilting ministry as well as the Women's Group.

Jim’s career with United Airlines sparked Pat’s deep love for travel. With family and friends, she explored the world, visiting Australia, China, Scotland, France, Panama, the Azores, Alaska, and countless cities throughout the United States. She also enjoyed a Rhine River cruise and many other destinations that became treasured memories. However, her favorite destination was always the Hawaiian Islands. She was eagerly looking forward to "one more trip to Hawaii" in August to celebrate her 88th birthday.

Pat was immensely proud of becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1971, while maintaining close ties to her English heritage through her membership in the Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association. Through this organization, she formed lifelong friendships with others who shared memories of growing up in Britain and found a sense of home and belonging. She volunteered for many years on the committee that organized the association's national conventions, held every two years in cities across the United States—events she greatly enjoyed attending.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim; her daughters, Andrea Oberascher (Heinz) and Janelle Bendt (Larry); five step-grandchildren, Jamie Flower (Zach), Kristofer Oberascher (Sarah), Kimberley Young, Sharyl Thomas (Donald), and Travis Overdorf (Kate); and nine step-great-grandchildren. She also considered herself "Grandma" to her sister's grandchildren after Mavis passed away; Jill Zamudio (Nathan), Conner Terry (Stephanie), Shonna Edwards, and "Great-Grandma" to their children.

She was preceded in death by her father Horace; November 4, 1969, mother Ethel; March 11, 1980, her sister Mavis; Jan 29, 1992, and her favorite cousin Thomas Roy Bradley (Carmel); August 15, 2001.

Pat will be remembered for her warmth, unwavering faith, adventurous spirit, deep love for her family, and the friendships she nurtured throughout her life, in all corners of the world.

A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Parker, Colorado, at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, with a fellowship reception to follow in the parish hall. She will be privately interred at a later time in J.S. Parker Cemetery in Parker, Colorado.
