Stacie Butler Trexel
November 11, 1964 — May 4, 2026
In Loving Memory of Stacie Trexel
We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved Stacie Trexel passed away on May 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Stacie was known for her kindness and steadfast support of friends and family. She touched countless lives with her warmth and compassion, leaving a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Stacie was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 11, 1964. She spent most of her life in Colorado, including the past 30 years in the Parker area. She married Frank Trexel on September 23rd, 1989, and together they welcomed their children, Matt and Paige, on October 29, 1996. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado State University and later received a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Denver. She worked in various roles at the University of Denver until retiring in 2011 as a Senior Applications Developer. In retirement, she pursued her passions and earned multiple certifications in herbology and aromatherapy.
Stacie is survived by her husband, Frank, and their children, Matt and Paige, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, whom she adored - being called “Aunt Stacie” was second only to being called “Mom.” She was preceded in death by her parents, Karen and Stephen.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St Michael & All Angels’ Episcopal Church in Stacie’s honor.
May Stacie rest in peace. She will be deeply missed, and her spirit will live on in the love and memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known her.
