Alison Elizabeth Tait

Alison Elizabeth Tait was born on April 22, 1964, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Charles and Mary Anna Tait, and passed on July 10, 2026. The family moved to Phoenix in 1974, where they settled in the northwest valley. She attended Cactus Wren Elementary School, graduated from Xavier High School in 1982, and was a parishioner at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church. Her parents and her three brothers, Christopher, Brian, and James, predeceased her. She is survived by her son, Andrew, and by many, many friends who were like family to her.

Alison was woven into many family and friend functions over the past 40+ years, and we have thousands of Alison stories for all the years we were blessed to know her. There is not enough time or space here to tell them all, so we will simply say this: lots of shenanigans and lots of fun were had by all. She was a very good friend and the world will not be the same without her. She will be missed every day, but most especially at all the family and friend gatherings, where she always added a very special spark.

Over the years, Alison faced more than her share of life’s challenges, especially with her health. She persevered with courage, determination, resilience, kindness, and even laughter. Her journey was not always easy, but she somehow always managed to hold on to her unmistakable sense of humor. Alison could always find something to smile about or say something that would make others laugh. We think she understood that laughter could lighten even the heaviest moments, and she shared her gift of humor generously with all of us.

Alison, we love you. We will miss you here on earth, and we look forward to one day seeing you again. Rest in peace now, dear friend.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Alison on August 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 10815 N 35th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85029. All are welcome.
