Barbara O'Brien

Born March, 1950 in Coaldale, PA, daughter of Stanley & Stella Pogwist. Graduated from Bloomington High School in 1968. She worked in Human Resources at Wetterau Foods in Bloomington, IN for 23 years until they were closed in 1994. At that time she and Tom moved to Arizona and worked for Best Western as a HR benefits analyst and retired in 2015. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and fun she brought to her workplace. She loved animals and adopted many cats and dogs throughout her life. She loved both her jobs and the people she worked with. She was preceded in death by her parents and then in November 2014 by her sister Felicia Fellmeth. Surviving are her caregiver Tom O'Brien of Sun City, AZ, her brother Stanley Pogwist (Kim) of Arnold, MO, and her sisters Janice Browning (Mike Bastin) and Christina Mackey (John) of Bloomington, IN, and several nieces and nephews. She would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Valley especially Toni, CNA for the compassionate care and support. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 13 th at Regency Mortuary from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. For online condolences there will be a video tribute on www.regencymortuary.com.
