Henry Andres Gaffud Castillo, 94, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, passed away on May 12, 2026.

Henry was born on March 6, 1932, in Los Angeles, California, to Andres and Anicia Castillo. He was raised in the Philippines with his four brothers and sisters.

He proudly served 30 years in the U.S. Navy, reaching an E-8 rank of Senior Chief Radioman. After retiring from the military, Henry served as a diplomat with the U.S. State Department Foreign Service for over a decade.

His years in the Navy and Foreign Service took him around the globe. The Philippines, Hawaii, California, and Arizona were the places he called home.

Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend; a proud Navy veteran; and a Bingo enthusiast. He loved gardening, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his late wife Athalene. He was followed closely in death by his best friend Dave Miller.

He is survived by his wife Belinda; his children Henry Castillo Jr., Pauline Castillo, May Gutierrez Dionisio, and Christopher Meinhardt; his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Regency Mortuary, 9850 W. Thunderbird Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351.
