Jonathan Allan Gallo
November 26, 1941 — May 18, 2026
Jonathan (Jon) Gallo was born on 11/26/1941, in Brooklyn New York, to parents Ida (Betty) Gallo and Joseph (Joe) Gallo. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Dartmouth College, Jon married Maureen Gallo (née Rudolph), and they shared 63 years of marriage together.
Jon built a successful career in the food industry, working with companies including Oscar Mayer, Claussen, and J.L. DeGraffenreid & Sons, where he ultimately retired as President and C.E.O. of the company.
A loving and much-loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, Jon was known for his sharp intelligence, quick wit, and dry sense of humor. He had a lifelong passion for golf, travel, and, above all, spending time with family and friends.
Jon is survived by his wife, Maureen Gallo; his daughters, Linda Gallo (Jon Blair) and Terri Schroeder (Don Schroeder); his grandsons, Wyatt Schroeder and J.R. Schroeder (Megan Schroeder); and great-granddaughters, Hazel and Eloise Schroeder. He is also survived by his siblings, David Gallo (Emily Gallo) and Jane Stripe (Jim Stripe).
