Marilyn Mae Davis

November 1, 1941 — May 3, 2026

Marilyn Mae Davis, of Sun City, AZ and formerly of Kettering, OH, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 3, 2026. She was 84.

She was the loving wife of 64 years to her husband Jerald Lee Davis.

Born in Rolla, ND, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Norma Pautzke.

A homemaker much of her adult life, Mrs. Davis was trained as a LPN working with precious newborns and then later mostly nights in various nursing homes caring for those that were in the latter seasons of their life, something she considered a privilege and honor to do.

One of her greatest joys were her countless hours given to prayer for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During her retirement years, sacrificially giving to countless gospel centered ministries and organizations kept her engaged with what mattered most to her. One of mom’s lasting legacies will certainly be her desire to ever increase in her understanding of Scripture and the knowledge of her Lord Jesus Christ she longed to see face to face (2 Peter 3:18). While mom wasn’t much for travel or expensive hobbies, she did very much enjoy watching “her” birds (particularly the colorful Lovebirds) just outside her windows as well as cheering on one of her favorite sports teams from the state of Ohio that it’s safe to say she considered “home”.

She is survived by her devoted husband Jerald L Davis and her five children, thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Daughters Clary Lewis and her husband Kevin of San Diego, CA, Natalie Kompa and her husband John of Columbus, OH, Amy Johns and her husband Mark of Orlando, FL, Sons Jason Davis and his wife Karen of Sellersville, PA and Kyle Davis and his wife Mandi of Toledo, OH. Her grandchildren and great-children as follows: Hannah and her husband Landen Ellyson parents of Aubrey, Charlotte and Maverick; Josh Lewis and his wife Kristin parents of Judah and Sofia; as well as Eva Lewis and Sarah Lewis. Ben Kompa and his wife Kathryn Grace, Olivia Kompa and her husband Jakob Gattinger as well as Paige Kompa. Nathan, Jacob, and Grace Davis. Rachael Lord and Avery Johns and Weston Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. One of her all-time favorite Bible verses had to be Titus 2:13, “Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ”. Yes Jesus!
