Richard "Wally" Weeks

Jan 18, 1951 — Jun 16, 2026

On June 16, 2026, Richard “Wally” Weeks left this earthly realm to be welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus in the Father’s Heavenly Paradise. Though he was not afraid to depart and be with his Savior, he was saddened to leave behind the family and loved ones he cherished so deeply.

A dedicated sheet metal worker by trade, Richard approached his work and responsibilities with diligence and integrity. Outside of work, music was one of his greatest joys. He loved playing guitar and singing, and he found many opportunities throughout his life to share those gifts with others. Whether through music, laughter, or simple acts of kindness, he brought joy to those around him.

Wally will be remembered for his unique blend of qualities: silly yet stoic, strong yet tender-hearted, and always loving. He was a devoted husband, a caring father, and a proud grandfather who adored his grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Diana; his children, Mary Stringham (Daniel), Jacob Weeks (Ruth), and Emily Weeks; and his cherished grandchildren, Genesis, Rylan, and Phoenix. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and fellow believers whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

Though his earthly journey has ended, his legacy of faith, love, music, and family devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Memorial services will be held on July 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Regency Mortuary, 9850 West Thunderbird Boulevard, Sun City, Arizona 85351.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Stillwater Hospice, 22601 N. 19th Avenue, Suite 230, Phoenix, Arizona 85027. The compassionate staff at Stillwater Hospice treated Wally with loving care, dignity, and kindness during the final weeks of his life, and his family remains deeply grateful for their support.
