Susann DeMarce

Susann (Lewis) DeMarce passed away peacefully at her home in Goodyear, Arizona, on Sunday, May 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sue was a devoted mother to Matt (Amy) and Kristy (Chuck), and a proud and loving Nana to Lexi, Lyndy, and Mattie. She was a cherished daughter, a beloved big sister to Lori (Tim), Tracie (Tim), and Gary, and a treasured aunt, friend, and source of love and support to so many throughout her life.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sue moved to Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of nine and made Arizona her lifelong home. Over the years, she helped build and run several family businesses, including Las Hadas Mexican Food, Wes/Mar Contracting, and Universal Lumber. Her greatest joy and proudest role was being a mother and Nana. Whether serving as the best homeroom mom, team mom, or cabin mom, Sue poured her heart into supporting and encouraging the people she loved.

Sue had a vibrant spirit. In her younger years, she was an incredible dancer, winning numerous twist and mashed potato dance contests. She also found joy in crafting, cooking, entertaining, and decorating for every holiday, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Lorraine and Lou Lewis; her father-in-law, M.L. DeMarce; and the love of her life, Red DeMarce.

Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the memories that will be cherished forever.
