Carol Willis Wright

Carol Willis Wright passed away on April 11, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born in Wright County, Iowa, on September 14, 1938, Carol served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He spent his career in the technical field across California and Michigan before settling in NW Albuquerque for over 35 years. An avid musician, he played bass and keyboard with the Holiday Ramblers in the 1960s and Young at Heart in the 1990s.
Carol was preceded in death by his wives, Shirley Wright (1989) and Barbara Sorenson Wright (2012); his parents, Ward and Lucia Lavine Quigley Wright; his brother, Ward; and his sisters, Bernice and Zola. For the past 10 years, he shared his life with Marie Storey.
He is survived by his children, Rick Wright (Sandra) and Brittney Wright; six grandchildren, Jeffrey, Gary (Sara), Brendon (Nicole), Mckenna, Hanna Deanne, and Benjamin; and five great-grandchildren, Owen, Jaxen, Greyson, Emelia, and Gypsy. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Santa Fe Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6.
