In Loving Memory of Joe Lucero (J.P.)

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Joe Lucero, lovingly known as J.P., at the age of 65.

He is survived by his beloved wife Sylvia, son Joe Jr., daughter Demetria, six grandsons, one granddaughter, brothers Bobby (wife Dolores), Ted (wife Ruth), David, and Raymond, as well as his sister Christine (husband Jim). Joe also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Joe previously worked at a shoe repair shop and dedicated many years of service to the City of Albuquerque before retiring. After retirement, he returned part-time as a volunteer with the Department of Senior Affairs, where he found great joy mentoring students. He also enjoyed gardening and was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. 

Joe's warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 15th at 11:00 AM at Calvary Church, 4001 Osuna NE, followed by a reception at F.O.P., 4120 Cutler NE.
