John Velarde

May your last ride be to a place of peace and freedom, just like the roads you loved.

John Velarde, age 62, of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on May 27, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amadeo and Lucy Velarde, his sister Diana Segura, and his Godson/Nephew Lorenzo Cowan.

He is survived by his brother-in-law Gabriel Segura, niece Lynn Trujillo (Rob Tapia), Great nieces Deja Maxey, Viola Tapia, and Great nephew Robert Tapia Jr., as well as other family and friends.

John had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, he spent countless hours working on his bike, and long road trips was something he enjoyed.

He was an avid Sports fan he enjoyed watching all sports, especially his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys, the LA Lakers, and the LA Dodgers.

He enjoyed cooking, grilling, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends.

John will be missed deeply, loved eternally, and remembered always.

There will be no service, but a Celebration of life will be set for later.
