Justine "Teenie" Archunde

Justine "Teenie" Archunde, age 59, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed awa on May 10, 2026. Teenie was born on June 14, 1966, to Cecilia and Stanley Archunde Sr. She attended Very Special Arts and was a graduate of Manzano High School. Teenie had such compassion and touched many hearts with her smile. She loved animals, dancing and singing. Michael Jackson and Cher were her favorite. She also loved one-dollar bills.

Teenie is survived by her mother, Cecilia Archunde (Demetrio Candelaria), brother, Stanley Archunde Jr. (Misty), nieces, Kiana and Savanah, great niece, Selena Reyes, special friend, Isaac Ray Marquez, aunt, Lynn Saavedra, aunt and uncle, Andrea and Roger Garcia and Joey and Irene Saavedra, aunts Renay and Rose Gallegos, aunt and uncle Josephine and Gene Marquez, uncle, Anthony Vigil Sr., many cousins and friends, and special friend Isaac Ray Marquez.

Teenie is preceded in death by her father, Stanley Archunde Sr., aunts, Hope Lovato and Becky Vigil, uncles, Pete and Jerry Gallegos and Gilbert Archunde, aunt, Cora Santistevan, grandparents Sarah and Jose Saavedra and Dominica and Secundino Archunde.

Pallbearers will be Kiana, Savanah, Andrea, Lynn, Diana (RN), Ramona (RN), and Isaac. 

Extended thanks to all the oncology department, Dr. Foma Munoh Kenne, Dr. Stanley Nwabudike and staff. Thanks to primary care doctors, Dr. Samir Kassichieh and Dr. Jessalyn Schafer and staff. Special thanks to Karen Stephenson-Akers and Isaac Marquez who brough Teenie great joy in the last three months and to all who knew and loved her.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9:30 am at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by a recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 am, and Mass of a Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Holy Family Catholic Church is located at 562 Atrisco Dr SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105. Interment will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, in the chapel, 1900 Edith Boulevard NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102 at 12:00 pm.
