Jaelene Alexus Estrada passed away May 10, 2026. She was just 24 years old.

Jaelene was born on Nov 25, 2001, in Gallup, NM. At 4 months old, she moved to Albuquerque, NM with her mother Christie & older brother Jamie, where she resided the remainder of her life.

Jaelene was known by many affectionate nicknames: Jae, Jayla, Bird, Sissy, and Jay-linda, a testament to her beauty.

From her first breath, she illuminated the world around her. She didn’t merely exist; she transformed every space she entered with her beauty, perfect smile, kind spirit, and loving heart. An undeniable mark was left on our family and friends. Where there was darkness, she was the light; Where there was sorrow, she brought comfort; Jaelene didn’t have children, but she would refer to her two younger brothers Damion and Rey-Rey as her babies. Though her time with us was tragically cut short, the impact of her beautiful soul will last a lifetime. She will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.

Jaelene was preceded in death by her Great Grandmother's Nora Nelson, Esther Gabaldon and Jenny Maldonado, Great Grandfather Leroy Gabaldon, Grandfather Arthur “Wapo” Baca, Stepfather Reynaldo Garcia, Auntie Melissa Gabaldon, Uncle Jason Estrada, Cousins Armando "Bebe" Garcia, & Anthony Mendoza.

Jaelene is survived by her Mother Christie Montoya & Stepfather Ben Montoya & Father Jamie Estrada Sr., Brothers Damion Garcia, Rey-Rey Garcia, Jamie Estrada Jr, Jordan Estrada, Juelz Estrada, & Nicholas Wiggins III. Sisters Jada Estrada, Reynette Garcia, & Nikki Wiggins. Grandfather Milton Gabaldon, Grandmother Brenda Noel Olguin and grandmother Joyce Estrada, Grandmother Brenda Noel Olguin, Nephew Jamie Estrada III, Niece Alena Melissa Estrada, & many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins
