James D. O’Mary passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Lisa Craig, brother John O’Mary (Kathi) of Enterprise, AL, sister Tina O’Mary of Puyallup, WA, granddaughters Breanna Traxler and Jaeanna Craig of Albuquerque. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Noah and Dee O’Mary, and brothers Richard O’Mary and David O’Mary.
Jim was born in El Dorado, AR, June 3, 1948. His family moved to Albuquerque in 1958 and he began a life long love of New Mexico. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Hensley, after graduating high school. They spent almost 56 years together living in Albuquerque and Silver City.
Jim spent his life in the construction industry after graduating from Rio Grande High School. He loved his family, the outdoors, hunting and he was an avid fisherman. He loved working on just about anything with a motor. If he wasn’t working he was at the lake or in the mountains with family and friends.
Friends are invited to visit Jim’s family at his home to celebrate his life on Monday, August 1st, from 3-5pm.
