Juan Andres Archuleta Jr.

Juan Andres Archuleta Jr., age 86, of Espanola (Upper San Pedro), passed away on June 14, 2025, in Albuquerque, NM.

He grew up in Upper San Pedro and in 1958 at the age of 19 enlisted in the US Army with the 82Nd Airborne in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina as a PFC.

He was a Teamster at many of our Local Dams that we all enjoy and worked as a Veterans Service Officer in Espanola as well. 

Juan was preceded in death by his parents, Juan A. Archuleta, Sr. and Juanita Archuleta and his son John Erwin (Johnny) Archuleta; sisters, Alice Ulibarri, Angie Parks, and Virginia Harmes.

Juan is survived by his three children, Jeffrey Archuleta and wife Heidi, Jason Archuleta and Jennifer Archuleta; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Seeds and brothers Thomas and Steve Archuleta and wife Angie as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Catholic Rosary will be prayed at 10 am, Friday, July 18, 2025, with funeral mass immediately after at 11 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, NM. Burial will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with full honors.
