In Loving Memory

Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Walker was born July 28, 1963 at Denver General Hospital (which later became Denver Health) in Denver, Colorado. She was the eldest daughter of Dois Ray and Bernise Ann Walker. In her early life, she graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. In her senior year, she took some data entry courses, then became a CNA at Heritage Healthcare after high school. Subsequently, she decided to pursue a career as a cosmetologist, so she took classes at Emily Griffith where she excelled and proceeded to do hair for years. She enjoyed going to church, and singing in the choir with her friends and sister, Pamela.    In addition to hair, Sandra was known for having exquisitely long nails, that she took care of and enjoyed painting. She enjoyed dressing up and going out, even if it was nowhere important. She had a love for comedies, horror movies and haunted houses, colorful and weird looking plants, art, cooking and trying new cuisines. She always loved to travel and visit places with beautiful sceneries. At home she loved watching Mukbang videos, Iron Chef America, Beat Bobby Flay, documentaries, dance videos, true crime and creepy pastas. She took delight in music and dancing, and would often break out in song or spontaneous dance. Sandra also held a special place in her heart for babies and animals, having had her share of dogs, bunnies and guinea pigs throughout her life. Eventually she found her artistic niche and made many beautiful pieces of art.   Among other things, Sandra will be remembered for her kind heart and playful spirit. She loved to joke around and reiterate funny moments from movies she liked. She harbored making memories by recording home videos and writing everything down so she wouldn't forget. Gospel music was a staple in her home because overall, she loved The Lord!   Sandra was cherished as a daughter, sister and aunt, and in her 30's she became a revered mother to her beloved daughter, Shanika Tingle, who she is survived by. Later, she became a grandmother when Audrianna and Adonis Tingle were born.  Sandra joined our brother, Alexander Tennell Walker, and our mother, Bernise, in the heavenly kingdom. Those also left to carry on are her sisters Pamela Walker-Hall, Kim Lewis, Veronica Williams, Bernicia Ofori-Blecha, LaTasha Thrush, and Kira Burch; her nieces Jahala and Mattie Walker, Ronnie, Re'Vah, Qentez, Z'Qur and Sanayah Burch; great niece Malayah Jabbie, and her great nephew, Jakai Wadsworth; her uncles, Calvin and James Mayes and Marvin Walker; and her aunts, Jackie Biddle, Charlotte Reliford, Helen Walker-Sears, Rosie Walker and Denise Mayes.   You will be truly missed and never forgotton. We love you. Rest in POWER!
