🌼 GOING HOME – A SHORT REMEMBRANCE (1–2 MINUTES)

Our Mother was a woman who devoted her entire life to her family.

From a young age, she lost both of her parents. After starting her own family, she continued to care for and raise her youngest sister, ensuring she received a proper education and grew into a good person.

After 1975, our father was sent to a re-education camp. During those difficult years, without our father by her side, Mother worked tirelessly and endured many hardships to raise and nurture her children to adulthood.

In 1995, our family immigrated to the United States.

Although her children grew up and built stable lives, Mother never stopped worrying about us, because in her heart, we were always her little children.

From my childhood, I remember Mother taking me to the temple and teaching me how to recite the Buddha’s name.

She was the first person to guide me on the path of Buddhism. The light of the Buddha’s compassion gradually illuminated my life, and I am deeply grateful to have been given permission by Mother, as her eldest daughter, to enter monastic life.

Life is impermanent, and toward the end of her life, Mother endured great physical suffering.

In her final days, our father and family remained by her side, caring for her with love. When she was conscious, she listened to the Dharma and recited the Buddha’s name together with our family.

During her final five days, supported by the chanting and mindfulness of loved ones and the blessings of the Triple Gem, Mother peacefully followed the light of Amitabha Buddha.

Although the pain of separation remains in our hearts, we rejoice knowing that Mother has returned to a peaceful realm.

We sincerely pray that her lotus flower in the Western Pure Land may bloom purely and serenely.

Beloved Mother, your love and virtues will forever remain in our hearts.

🌼 GOING HOME – LỜI TƯỞNG NIỆM (BẢN NGẮN 1–2 PHÚT)

Mẹ chúng con là người phụ nữ đã sống trọn đời vì gia đình. Từ nhỏ, Mẹ sớm mồ côi cha mẹ. Khi lập gia đình, Mẹ vẫn cưu mang, nuôi dưỡng người em gái út của mình được ăn học nên người.

Sau năm 1975, Ba phải đi học tập cải tạo. Trong những năm tháng khó khăn ấy, không có Ba bên cạnh, Mẹ một mình tảo tần, chịu nhiều nhọc nhằn để nuôi dạy các con trưởng thành.

Năm 1995, gia đình sang định cư tại Hoa Kỳ. Dù các con đã lớn khôn và có cuộc sống ổn định, nhưng mẹ vẫn không ngừng lo lắng cho chúng con. Vì trong lòng mẹ chúng con vẫn mãi là những đứa trẻ bé bỏng.

Từ thuở nhỏ, con ghi nhớ hình ảnh Mẹ dắt con đến chùa, dạy con niệm Phật. Mẹ là người đầu tiên hướng dẫn con biết đến Phật pháp. Ánh sáng từ bi của Phật ngày càng rực sáng trong con. Thật may mắn thay là người con gái lớn được mẹ cho phép xuất gia theo Phật.

Kiếp sống vô thường, Mẹ phải chịu đựng căn bệnh hành hạ thân xác. Trong những ngày tháng cuối đời, Ba và gia đình luôn ở bên chăm sóc Mẹ. Khi còn tỉnh táo, Mẹ lắng nghe kinh pháp và cùng gia đình niệm Phật.

Năm ngày sau cùng, nhờ sự hộ niệm của người thân và oai lực Tam Bảo, Mẹ đã an nhiên theo ánh sáng Đức Phật A Di Đà ra đi.

Dù nỗi đau chia ly vẫn còn, chúng con hoan hỷ vì biết Mẹ đã về cõi an lành.

Nguyện hoa sen của Mẹ nơi Tây Phương Cực Lạc được tinh khiết và an lạc.

Mẹ kính yêu, ân đức của Mẹ sẽ mãi ở trong tim chúng con.
