Edward Mark Padilla

Edward Mark Padilla, lovingly known to many as Ed, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Arvada, Colorado. Born on June 23, 1965, in Denver, Colorado, Ed’s life was marked by his deep love for family, his generous spirit, and his unwavering dedication to hard work.

Ed was a man whose heart beat to the rhythm of old school music, the soundtrack that accompanied him through countless hours spent behind the wheel of his cherished cars. His passion for buying, selling, and restoring vehicles was more than a hobby—it was an expression of his soul. Cadillacs and lowriders held a special place in his heart, and he indulged his love for these classic cars with meticulous care and pride. Whether it was tinkering under the hood or cruising with his music playing, Ed found joy in every moment spent with his beloved rides.

Known for his seriousness and selflessness, Ed was a man who placed the needs of others before his own. His generous and loving nature touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had an extraordinary capacity for care and compassion, always concerned about the well-being of those around him. Ed’s selfless spirit and good heart were the cornerstone of his character, making him a steadfast friend, brother, and father.

Family was at the very core of Ed’s existence. He treasured his daughters, Jaunie and Princess, and his son Timothy, above all else. Their happiness and success were his proudest accomplishments, and his love for them was boundless. Ed also held a deep respect and affection for his siblings—Alfred, Sandra (and her husband Steve)—and the bonds they shared remained strong throughout his life.

Ed was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elizabeth and Frank Padilla; his brothers Frank and John; his sister Flora; and his nephew Joseph. Their memories live on in his heart and in the hearts of all who loved him.

To honor his memory, a viewing will be held on June 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Romero Funeral Home-Lakewood located at 1805 S Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80232. This will be followed by his funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.

Edward Mark Padilla was a man defined by love, sacrifice, and a tireless work ethic. His legacy is one of devotion to family and friends, a passion for life’s simple pleasures, and an endless capacity for kindness. Though he is no longer with us, the memory of Ed’s warmth, his laughter echoing alongside the beats of his old school music, and his steadfast presence in the lives of those he loved will remain forever in our hearts.
