Felicia Aileen Duran
August 9, 1963 — June 7, 2026
Felicia Aileen Duran, a vibrant soul whose life was a beautiful melody, passed away on June 7, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado. Born on August 9, 1963, in Denver, Colorado, Felicia's journey was one marked by generosity, laughter, and a spirit as bold as the music she loved.
Ever the embodiment of spirit and truth, Felicia was known for her sassy, straightforward nature—never one to shy away from speaking her mind. Yet beneath her candid exterior beat a heart of pure gold. She was profoundly loving, always willing to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Those who knew her recall her playful humor and mischievous jokes, the way she would lovingly tease and engage with friends and family alike. Still, Felicia held a prim and proper side, embodying grace and dignity amidst her spirited ways.
Music was the soundtrack of Felicia’s life. Whether at concerts or simply enjoying the outdoors, her enthusiasm for life was infectious. She had a particular love for Prince, a passion that reflected her unique and vibrant personality. Her many friends were testaments to her love of fun and celebration, always drawn to her warmth and vivacity. The memory of her favorite phrase, shouted joyfully whenever a beloved tune played—“That’s my song!”—will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her.
Felicia’s proudest accomplishments were her cherished roles as a mother and grandmother. Her daughter Valentina, alongside her husband Richard, and her beloved grandchildren Luciano, Xavier, Nariah, Justice, Luna, and CymOné were the center of her universe. Though the family mourns the loss of her daughter Cymone, Felicia’s legacy of love and strength continues vividly through the lives of her remaining family.
She is survived by her devoted parents, Guadalupe and Juan, and her sisters Madaline, Gerri (Richard), and Donna, each carrying forward the warmth and tenacity she exemplified. Her extended family includes her nieces Favianna, affectionately nicknamed “Honey Bunny”and her husband Danny, Kinsley and Kaylea, as well as nephews Augustine (Rebecca), Juan, and Tristian, all of whom were touched deeply by Felicia’s loving spirit.
Felicia Aileen Duran lived her life fully and fiercely, touching all who had the honor of knowing her. As we remember her laughter, her generosity, and her unmistakable voice — both singing and speaking her truth — we celebrate a remarkable woman whose song will forever play in the hearts of those she loved. Though she has taken her final bow, the music she made in this world remains eternal.
