Taina Lucero

March 30, 1966 — April 3, 2020

Taina Lucero, 54 Taina Lucero was born March 30, 1966 in Denver Colorado where she resided until she peacefully passed away in her sleep while surrounded by family in her Denver home on Friday, April 3, 2020. As a lifelong Denverite, Taina was well known in her community for her many acts of generosity and kindness. No matter the time or day she would be there for you, even if she just met you. She has made a point to help out whenever and wherever it was possible, even if it meant her last dollar. And if you ever had her green chili, it was "on hit!" as she would put it with that radiant smile of hers, cheeks high and her eyes said the rest. She enjoyed being able to cook for her family and any extended family that she may have acquired throughout her lifetime. Taina Was a loving, kind, generous caring person who would illuminate any room, apartment, house or building that she entered with the radiance of her smile alone. Taina never met a stranger. She was a very welcoming woman who would say, "Hi, Sweetie, nice to meet you! I'm Taina, like Dana but with a T." And If her children or grandchildren were there they, too, would promptly be introduced and just that quickly she had adopted another "Hita" or "Hito" who, in turn, would gladly call her "Aunty" "Sister" or "Best Friend" Because once again, just that quick, her smile sealed the deal. Taina was everybody's favorite Cousin or Aunty because of the way she carried herself. Even when she would sic the "Can Man" on all of us for not going to bed. Anybody who knew her would know that she did everything and anything for the people she loved but when she was tired or it was just time for you to go to bed, she loved the Can Man! Taina is survived by Her husband of nearly 35 years Jos N. Hermosillo, Son Gregory J. (Christina) Lucero, Jr.; Son Jos L. Lucero; Daughter April H. Lucero; Daughter Angel Lucero; Granddaughter Esmeralda J. Lucero; Granddaughter Hazel Ramirez; Grandson Gregory J. Lucero, III.; Granddaughter Aubree O.
