Jimmy E. Pippin was born on February 25, 1949 in Eldora, Iowa to Orville and LaDonna Pippin. He passed away at St. Luke’s hospital in Mountain Home, Idaho on May 4, 2026 at age 77.

Jimmy grew up in Iowa where the family moved many times for Orville’s job. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1967. He met his wife of 57 years Angela Nehring in July 1968 and married her on February 8, 1969. Their first child, Bill, was born in 1971 followed by their daughter Sophia in 1976.

Jimmy joined the Air Force on September 18, 1968 with his twin brother, Gary, under the Buddy Program. Jimmy served at 11 bases including 3 oversea tours. He served 20 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1989 out of McChord AFB, Washington. He then worked for Boeing, first as Quality Assurance then as a union representative. He retired after working 18 years for Boeing in 2007.

Jimmy enjoyed spending time outdoors. When he was stationed in Texas, he learned how to sky dive. He loved to golf and go camping in his motor home. And in his 50’s he fell in love with visiting Mexico and tried to visit as often as he could.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Angela, son William (Christine), daughter Sophia (Adam), grandson Ryan, granddaughter Emalee, step grandson Dylan and brother Ronald (Shirley)

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and LaDonna, and brothers Douglas and Gary.

A graveside service will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery, Tuesday June 9, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.
